Chickity China, the Chinese Chicken

It's been one week!

It hasn't really seemed like a week (in many cases it's felt much longer) since we just got her home a couple of days ago but the calendar doesn't lie.  We had our first doctor appointment today.  Things are good:  she's gained 4 ounces or so since leaving the hospital on Saturday; her bilirubin level was low (lower than yesterday's stick at Standish too) so she can come off of the bili light; everything seems to be progressing normally.  The combination of these things means that we can take her off of the formula (going to follow her weight the next couple of days) since we aren't as worried about flushing her system.  This should be helpful for breastfeeding - we've had a bit of an uphill battle on this since I didn't get to start for a couple of days due to the CPAP that was in her nose.  Here's an updated pic; look for more in a photo album probably around the end of the month.  I'll also try to get a "glowworm" pic before we send back the bili light.
